International Foundation
The International Foundation provides a guaranteed route to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree when you successfully complete the programme and achieve the entry requirements for your chosen degree.
Choose from a wide range of undergraduate degrees across disciplines, from Engineering and Architecture, to Business and Biomedical Sciences.
Programmes are available in 3 or 4-term lengths, depending on your English language level.

The International Year One is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Newcastle University. You will progress directly to the second year of a degree in Accounting and Finance, Business, Engineering and Architecture.

Our iCAS (integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)) programme allows students to apply for a combined visa that covers both academic pathways and engineering degree courses at Newcastle University – creating one seamless study plan.
You'll get all the benefits of an International Year One, with no need to return home to renew your visa between your pathway and degree.
